If these rules do not say you can do it then don’t do it! Be sure to check the general rules. All interpretations by the track are final. You are responsible to know the track’s position on all rules. IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE! Entry Fee of $50.00 will be paid prior to participating and will be reimbursed after removal of car, trailer and camper from speedway property.

 Safety Rules (MANDATORY)

  1. The Citrus County Speedway officials will inspect all car and/or equipment before competing. All cars must be safety inspected before they race. If and when deemed necessary, officials shall have the authority to insist upon a physical or eye examination of any participant.
  2. NO car shall have any riders at any time NO EXCEPTIONS!
  3. Racing helmet with min. Snell 95 rating. Neck brace recommended.
  4. Fire suit with sfi min. Rating of "i". No holes allowed in fire suit.
  5. Fire resistant gloves, shoes and socks must be worn at all times car is on track.
  6. A minimum 4 point roll cage must be steel pipe or tubing, a minimum of 1 ½" (1.50") outside diameter with minimum .095 inch wall thickness. No square tubing or galvanized pipe allowed. NO exceptions!
  7. Window nets are required on the driver's side of the car and must be securely mounted. Nets must latch at the top and be operational from inside and outside of the car. Drivers must be able to get out of either side of the car in case of emergency.
  8. A single, quick release, 4 point harness (minimum 3 inch belts) dated 2000 or newer is required in all vehicles. All belts and installation shall be approved by the safety. Sternum straps are okay. All required belts must be in use at any time the car is in motion on the track. Racing harness must be attached to roll cage.
  9. Aluminum racing seats mounted in stock location.
  10. All cars must have a fire extinguisher (minimum 2 lbs.) securely mounted within easy reach of driver. The mounting must be in such a way that the driver can quickly remove it from its mount. Wrapping duct tape around the extinguisher or any other material that will prohibit that easy removal of the extinguisher is not acceptable. All extinguishers must display inspection stickers, have working gauges and be reinspected or recharged every 12 months.

Car and Body

  1. Open to any full size passenger cars.
  2. Headlights and taillights must be removed. All body side trim/molding must be removed. All interior upholstery must be removed, back seat, headliner, door panels and carpet..
  3. All Vehicle glass must be removed except windshield. Windshields may be removed but MUST be replaced with approved metal screen ¼” mesh or smaller, minimum 1/8 inch thick or lexan. Remove all headlights, taillights and body moldings.
  4. No sheet metal may be cut away but grilles may be removed. Fenders MUST BE LEFT ON.
  5. All doors and trunks must be welded, chained or bolted shut. Max welds18”per seam. Chains may be no longer than 3/8 diameter and 36” long. Maximum bolts 1/2 diameter and 6” long.
  6. Bumpers may be welded to brackets and brackets welded to frame.
  7. Fuel Cell is mandatory and must be in truck area with a 6” hole at the bottom of trunk area below fuel cell, fuel cell must be securely fastened with a minimum of two straps from front to back and side to side. Fuel tanks in front of rear axle allowed
  8.  Steel rear firewall must separate drivers from trunk area.
  9. Batteries must be securely mounted in motor compartment. Mounted in firewall is ok.
  1. Electric fuel pumps must have cut off switch.
  2. Hood and deck lid must be hood pinned, not bolted or welded.
  3. Nothing may be painted on the car which might be considered offensive. All cars will be screened before entry to the track surface and cars not conforming shall not compete.
  4. Tires must track approved.
  5. All modifications not covered in these rules will not be allowed unless approved by tech.
  6. Decisions of the officials are final in all cases.

Trailer and Camper

1.        Open to any pop up or travel trailer. Any oats must be secured to trailer by straps ONLY. No bolting of any kind allowed.

2.        Must be real campers not homemade. Minimum boat length 14’.

3.     Standard type hitches with 2 5/16” maximum ball size, double safety chain required.

4.     Trailer must be secured to vehicle with chains or cables.

5.     Any time a trailer becomes separated from the vehicle on the track that vehicle WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED and unable to complete the remainder of that race.
